Celebrating Mother’s Day Concert

This chamber concert presents a lyrical and intimate journey through love, marriage and reflection, featuring music for guitar, voice, violin and piano. The programme includes Introduction and Caprice, Op. 23 for solo guitar by Giulio Regondi, alongside selected songs from Frauenliebe und Leben by Robert Schumann for voice and piano, tracing a woman’s emotional life from first love to motherhood. The violin and piano duo is showcased in expressive works by Lili Boulanger (Nocturne), Grażyna Bacewicz (Slavonic Dance), Florence Price (Adoration) and Rebecca Clarke (Lullaby). The concert concludes with two much-loved songs for voice and guitar: “Vilja-Lied” from Die lustige Witwe by Franz Lehár and the timeless classic “Moon River” by Henry Mancini, bringing the evening to a warm and reflective close.
